The Hedge Schools album, At The End Of A Winding Day, which was released in January has been getting some amazing reviews and plenty of airplay, including from Guy Garvey on BBC 6 Music and indeed from as far afield as New York City and Australia.
Joe recently flew to Paris for a press day with Gemma Hayes to mark the European release of her beautiful new album, Bones and Longing. They recorded a version of Chris Isaac's Wicked Game in the chapel of the Centre Culturel Irlandais which you can see here before heading across town to the studios of RTL 2 to record a session for the legendary Zegut - you can see the entire session here.
In studio news, Joe has taken up residence in Dublin's Cauldron Recording Studios, setting up a second control room there (which will continue to be called The Living Room). The first band through the doors were A Lazarus Soul who recorded two tracks live in studio which will feature on a new Bandcamp EP, released Monday April 6th. Speaking of A Lazarus Soul, they play Grand Social on Friday April 10th.
Finally, we can announce that Joe's four solo albums will be released on High Resolution streaming service Tidal on May 1st. This is the first time Joe's music will be available for streaming.
Joe recently finished writing the material for his fifth album and will begin recording in the coming weeks. The album, which will be titled "The Easter Vigil" will be released in 2016.
